Urban Loft Inspo

Some of the fun details. He made that whale years ago and it’s still my favorite thing in his room. We went with ring clips for curtains to help elongate and add a bit of maturity. His bottom bunk acts as hangout space for him, so we added more pillows to up the cozy factor.

My son’s room needed to transform from younger kid room to a teen/young adult room. The goal was to have it done before the new school year started and we got it done just in time! I gave suggestions, but ultimately let him take the reins with color. I have to admit I was a little skeptical with his choices, but love how it turned out! This kiddo is constantly creating and needed a workbench worthy of his creativity. A piece of live edge we had was the perfect solution. I put together a mood board for his approval and we got to work!

Here’s where we started…

Finished project! So pleased with how this turned out and the best part is that my son loves it too! I’m most proud of switching out the boob light all on my own. Something that is super simple, but I have been scared to attempt. So glad I conquered that fear! Overall, this project took about four days to complete.
